The
composer and architect Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta met John
Cage in 1985. Immediately he started collaborating with Cage
and Merce Cunningham, in New York City. It was a collaboration
of about 25 years, which would become strong friendship with
both John and Merce. They made more than six hundred concerts
together all over the world.
Now, inside the architectural space designed by Leonardo da Vinci,
Pimenta will give a lecture about John Cage, in his one hundred
years. |

JOHN
CAGE: Everything
is possible when we have zero as starting point.
I have nothing
to say, I am saying it, and that is poetry.
The highest purpose
is to have no purpose at all. This puts one in accord with Nature,
in her manner of expression.
