This was an improvised
concert at the HOLOTOPIA Festival of 2004, in the Amalfi Coast,
Italy. The Festival, promoted by Dr. Alberto del Genio, was the
first step of the Holotopia Art and Sciences Academy. It is located
near Positano, and it is the place referred by Homer in his Odyssey,
when Ulysses meets the sirens. This concert had the participation
of Emanuel Pimenta (transversal flute in the video), Massimo
Donà, Leonello Tarabella, Marcos Novak, Susie Georgetis

DIFESA DELLA NATURA was
a concert made by Emanuel Pimenta in 1998 for a film on Joseph
Beuys. The composition was dedicated to Hans Joachim Koellreutter.
The movie was directed by Marco Agostinelli and curated by Lucrezia
De Domizio, Baroness Durini. This is one of the performances,
which happened at the Campo Nomade village, near Locarno, in
Ticino, Switzerland, in 2004 - it is one of the only villages
that refused the daily used of electricity since the 19th century.

in 1987 and dedicated to John Cage. This concert had place at
the MART Modern and Contemporary Art Museum of Rovereto and Trento,
in Italy, in 2003. MART is the largest museum of the kind in
Italy. The concert, as well as an exhibition dedicated to Emanuel
Pimenta's artworks, inaugurated the international section of
the museum. The exhibition was curated by Lucrezia De Domizio,
Baroness Durini. For this concert, Emanuel Pimenta added an alto

John Cage's breath sounds. This concert had place at the MART
Modern and Contemporary Art Museum of Rovereto and Trento, in
Italy, in 2003. MART is the largest museum of the kind in Italy.
The concert, as well as an exhibition dedicated to Emanuel Pimenta's
artworks, inaugurated the international section of the museum.
The exhibition was curated by Lucrezia De Domizio, Baroness Durini.

In 2001, Emanuel Pimenta
was invited for an improvisation concert at the Zedosbois Contemporary
Art Gallery, in Lisbon Portugal, which was dedicated to the American
composer Phill Niblock. The concert had the participation of
Emanuel Pimenta (transversal flute), Joao Pinto (electronics),
Margarida Garcia (bass), David Maranha (electronics and guitar)
and Adriana Sa (electronics and voice). This recording, made
in the beginning of the concert, shows only Emanuel Pimenta's
solo.

CONCERT FOR FROGS AND
CRICKETS (1984)
The CONCERT FOR FROGS AND
CRICKETS was composed by Emanuel Pimenta in 1984 and dedicated
to his friend John Cage. This was a performance recorded in the
Republic of San Marino in 2001. Then, powerful sound systems
were installed in the city and the music spread out through the
narrow streets and buildings.

THE SEA (1984)
THE SEA was composed by
Emanuel Pimenta in 1984. It has two versions - one, electronics,
which was recorded in 2004; and a version for orchestra, captured
in this video, which was performed at the 18th International
Biennale of São Paulo, Brazil. This concert received the
APCA Prize - the Art Critics Association of São Paulo.
This recording is in bad condition, but has a relevant historical
value.
